THIS IS MY STORY
They say experience changes you. What they don't always mention is what it leaves behind.
For me, it left writing.
I didn't seek it out. I wasn't someone who filled journals or dreamed of becoming a writer. Writing simply arrived — quietly, then all at once — and made itself at home in a life I thought I already understood.
I am, at my core, someone who feels too much. Who finds meaning in the in-between moments, who has always been more comfortable in metaphor than in small talk. Poetry didn't just give me a voice — it gave me a way of existing in the world. Of making sense of love, loss, longing, and all the unnamed things that live somewhere in the chest.
I write because I have no other honest choice.
